Congratulations to Redgranite Elementary's March Student of the Month: This student possesses outstanding character. She truly embodies all of the character traits and is a leader in our classroom and in our school. Over the past month our school has been focusing on the character trait integrity. This student shows integrity every single day. She is honest and truthful with adults and peers, I can always count on her to do the right thing (even when it is hard), and she goes above and beyond to be a helper in our classroom. When she notices something out of place, she will put it where it goes without any prompting from an adult. When someone is misbehaving, she will use kind words to remind the classmate of the expectations. This student also loves school. She enjoys playing with her classmates and often is the one creating the elaborate play scenarios. This student also loves to learn, when it is time to settle down she is the first one on her learning spot with her body ready to learn. She is often the first one with her hand raised to ask and answer questions while we are learning. During sharing time, this student displays wonderful listening skills. She listens attentively and respectfully to each of her classmates and asks relevant questions to learn more. I am very excited to see the progress this student makes in all of her future years of school. She is off to a WONDERFUL start. It is for all of these reasons, and many more, that I would like to nominate Kaylee Sheller for Redgranite’s Student of the Month. Also, congratulations to the following Redgranite Elementary Integrity Character Trait Awards Winners: Cody Griffin, Ebony Boening (not pictured), Nevaeh Higgins, Ryker Withall, and Connor Hoople.

Redgranite Elementary staff and students would like to give a big THANK YOU to Deputy Wenzel and Deputy Thor for their visit this week. Students respectfully listened to Deputy Wenzel explain about what he and his K-9 partner Deputy Thor do day to day. They asked thoughtful and respectful questions and listened attentively, raised their hands, and waited to be called on before asking their questions. Deputy Wenzel also brought Thor around for students to pet. Thank you again, Deputy Wenzel and Deputy Thor for your visit, it was paws-itively wonderful!
