Redgranite Student Council members are on a mission to spread kindness throughout their school this year. For Valentine's Day, members designed conversation hearts and wrote 'sweet' messages on them. Children were excited to see the messages on their lockers.
February is National Children's Dental Health Month.
Here are some healthy tips:
- Encourage your kids to brush 2-3 times per day, and floss at least once per day.
- Encourage a healthy diet that limits sugary beverages and snacks
- Buy a new toothbrush every three months.
- Schedule twice-yearly dental appointments with your dentist.
The book fair is coming to Redgranite Elementary School next week during conferences!
Redgranite Elementary students weren't the only wild animals at school a few Fridays ago. MToxins came to visit our students and brought along some slow, slithery, and some (mostly teachers) may say scary, friends. Students and staff learned a lot, and gained new appreciation for these animals. Grades 3-5 also got to see a venom extraction happen right before their eyes!

Third graders at Redgranite have been busy learning about motion. Students have been conducting investigations using tops, twirlybirds and carts. During the investigations, students took part in the engineering process. They were presented with a problem and given time to find and build a solution. The students have learned a lot about what causes things to move and have learned about how changing one variable will affect the motion of an object.
This past Monday, Lucy Winn from Pennsylvania visited third graders at Redgranite Elementary School. Lucy is the 2022 American Honey Queen. She is traveling across the country promoting honey and beekeeping. You can follow her journey at buzzingacrossamerica.com. Redgranite students were 'buzzing' with excitement that Lucy decided to make a stop at their school.
