Nomination from: Mrs. Majeskie I wish to nominate Ryker Withall for Redgranite's student of the month. Ryker has an overall positive attitude about school and school work. He comes to school excited to learn, and is always willing to try new things. He isn't afraid of working hard and puts forth a strong effort to be successful. Ryker is kind and friendly to everyone in our class. He works cooperatively and helps anyone who needs it. Ryker also looks for ways to brighten someone's day with a cheerful note. He has wonderful manners too. Ryker follows all school rules, and he can be trusted to do the right thing, no matter what. When given directions, Ryker doesn't hesitate or complain. He follows directions right away. Ryker doesn't need reminders or even praise to do what he knows is right. He just does it because he takes pride in himself as being a student with strong character. Redgranite Elementary School is a better place because of Ryker and his role model behavior in the character traits.

Third graders at Redgranite Elementary School will be kicking off the 11th Annual Pajama Drive. New and unused pajama donations will be collected at all schools in the Wautoma Area School District from March 15 to March 26. This year the third grade class is hoping to collect 200 sets of pajamas. Over the last 10 years this community service has been successful because of generous people like you. Thank you in advance for your support.

Third graders at Redgranite Elementary began the FOSS science investigation about Motion and Matter. Students were asked to answer the following focus question: "What happens when magnets interact with other magnets and with paper clips?" After several attempts with magnetic/force activities, students noticed that magnets can push or pull each other and they noticed that magnets attract paper clips. Students are excited to conduct additional activities in the future.

Due to the continued arctic blast, drive thru food pantries in Wautoma and Coloma are canceled for Tuesday, February 16th and Wednesday, February 17th. This difficult decision is made to ensure the safety of our volunteers and patrons. At this time, drive thru pantries located in Plainfield and Wild Rose will be open as scheduled.
