The Riverview Character Education Committee would like to present February’s Community Character Trait Award to the Waushara County Highway Department for Determination. Snowplow drivers are essential for us during winter. When the weather is bad from snow and ice, they still go out, during the night too, to do their job and help make the roads safe for others to drive on. They clear the snow off the roads and also put down salt so that the ice can melt away. They don't give up and make it so that we can get to school safely. This is why we think the Waushara County Highway Department, and those who work along-side them, are a great example of determination and doing their best, even when there are so many roads and it may seem impossible. They are determined and never give up! We are thankful for all the work you do!

Tonight at 7pm, the Wautoma High School Band will present their Band Classics Concert at the McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center. We hope to see you there!

On March 17th, the Redgranite 5th graders and Kindergartners were up to their shenanigans again, making memories and crafts. This time, in the spirit of St. Patty's Day, they created leprechauns. Kindergarten even had a leprechaun visit them earlier in the day!! They said he was on the kinder side of mischievous.

Don't forget to swing by the PAC tonight for the Parkside School Choir's final performance of "Beauty and the Beast, Jr."

Last week Redgranite Elementary 5th graders tried their hands at something completely new to them, curling. It was an awesome day filled with learning, laughter, and a few falls. All in all, the kids did an amazing job keeping an open mindset for learning a sport that does not come easily and takes a lot of practice. Big thank you to the Appleton Curling Club and their members for hosting us, teaching us, and not laughing when we fell. Good Curling!

Last weekend, three of the Wautoma High School Key Club Officers attended the club’s first Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District Key Club Convention in Waukesha. They were intimately involved in district board elections, witnessed incredible student leadership, attended various workshops, and met lots of other high school key club students from around the state and upper Michigan.
