Congratulations to the Wautoma High School Choir State Solo & Ensemble Students on their performances on April 29th at UW-Oshkosh. The WHS Honors Choir scored a 1 on their Madrigal Performance; Addie DeMars scored a 1 on both of her solos; and Reagan DeMars scored a 2 on her solo. Additionally, as part of the festival, the Exemplary Performance Recognition Project expands recognition of outstanding performers at the WSMA State Solo & Ensemble Festival. State festival adjudicators select the most exceptional performances at each of the festival campuses through a two-step process. Throughout the festival day, adjudicators nominate events for the award. Addie DeMars was nominated for BOTH of her solos and the Honors Choir was nominated for their madrigal performance. At the end of the festival day, the adjudicator may select up to two award recipients from the nominated events in their festival site. Addie DeMars' is a recipient of WSMA's 2023 Exemplary Performance Recognition Award for her Musical Theatre solo performance. “I am very proud of our performances and recognitions from this past weekend, and it was a good showing of Wautoma student talent!” said WHS Choir Director Mr. Dubnicka.

Did you know it is School Lunch Hero Week? Let's celebrate our wonderful WASD lunch men and women! Most of these wonderful school lunch heroes also volunteer in the Hornet Market each week. They go over and beyond every single day, sometimes moving from school to school or doing cooking jobs they don't usually do to keep our students fed ! They are true heroes! Thank you for all you do!
