Congratulations to WHS junior Ava Butt for her participation in the Senate Scholar Program! Below is a narrative of Ava's amazing experience.
This week has been filled with many opportunities to learn about how the government runs and what goes into making that government run smoothly, including all of the government offices. I have enjoyed so much about the Senate Scholar Program so far. Some of my favorites have been the Capitol Dome Tour including facts and history, working as a Senate Page during the Session, meeting Senator Testin, and attending the State of the State Address. This program has helped me to become a more informed citizen and have a better understanding of leadership and decision making along with working as a team. It has been an experience that I will never forget.

The following is this week's COVID-19 testing schedule. All mobile locations listed offer rapid and PCR tests. Testing is free and is available to all community members experiencing symptoms, those who believe they may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and anyone who is worried about possibly having the virus. Appointments are required. Pre-register online at doineedacovid19test.com.

Redgranite Student Council members are on a mission to spread kindness throughout their school this year. For Valentine's Day, members designed conversation hearts and wrote 'sweet' messages on them. Children were excited to see the messages on their lockers.
