From October to November 2023, the Wautoma Area School Board of Education worked with District Administrator Jewel Mucklin to create a list of community members to invite to serve on the WASD Ad Hoc Community Impact Committee (CIC). Once a list of recommended individuals was presented by the WASD Board of Education, Ms. Mucklin and Board President Nicole Lehr sent letters asking individuals if they would be interested in participating.
On December 11, 2023, Wautoma Area School District Board of Education officially approved the CIC Members in an effort to receive diverse perspectives on school district initiatives. The CIC’s primary responsibilities include learning about the current state of WASD facilities, strengths, and priority areas; collaborating with district personnel, architects, and other stakeholders to examine and provide feedback and considerations related to facility improvement projects; and ensuring WASD facilities align with the latest educational standards, safety regulations, and technology advancements. In the end, the CIC will provide input to the WASD Board of Education regarding the capital project scope and priorities.
